Hollow Knight Silksong releases September on Xbox, PS5, PC, and Switch 2
By Ryan Woodrow

It’s been a long seven years, and Hollow Knight Silksong has joined the meme pantheon of Half-Life 3 and GTA 6 of games just never seemed to want to come out, but finally we have a date, and it’s very soon. In a short and sweet trailer revealed today, Hollow Knight Silksong has had its release date confirmed for September 4, 2025. That’s right, it’s just two weeks away.
This trailer didn’t show much gameplay beyond what we’ve already seen in clips and previews before, including what people have been able to play this past week at Gamescom. However, it did give us a few cool looks as to what’s in store. First of all, we can swim now, which we’re sure won’t be used for any frustrating water sections. We got another look at the grappling ability, which is already promising to bring us some intense platforming, especially when combined with the new glider ability we got a peek at.
Along with a brief glimpse at the map, we got some exciting numbers, specifically that the game contains over 200 unique enemies to fight and over 40 bosses to challenge, so it’s safe to say that when the release date rolls around, we’ll all be playing it for quite some time.
The game is set to launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4, 2025.
