Honkai: Star Rail is making a big change to Relic crafting

HoYoverse has announced that Relic crafting will undergo an important change later this year with HSR 3.5. Wishful Resin, the resource allowing players to set specific sub stats when they create a Relic from scratch, will be folded into Self-Modeling Resin. This simplifies the system and removes the need to gather both materials.

Following this change, players will be able to set specific main and sub stats when crafting a Relic using only Self-Modeling Resin. The amount of material consumed by the process won’t change.

Does that mean that you should use up all of your Wishful Resin ahead of HSR 3.5? Absolutely not! All of your Wishful Resin will be converted into Self-Modeling Resin at a 1:1 ratio when the change goes live, so none of your resources will go to waste and you don’t need to feel forced into consuming any of them when you don’t need to.

Every source providing Wishful Resin will similarly be converted into providing Self-Modeling Resin instead.

Recently revealed Version 3.3 will increase the storage capacity for Relics to 3,000 in another welcome quality-of-life improvement alongside optimizing the frequency of notifications in the game.

HoYoverse also revealed that HSR 3.3 will optimize the amount of storage space needed for preloading future updates.
