Indiana Jones and the Great Circle DLC expansion announced

MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was a smash hit when it was released on Xbox last year, with the subsequent PS5 release earlier this year also getting a warm welcome, and now it’s getting its first DLC expansion. 

Microsoft announced at the Xbox Games Showcase the first DLC expansion for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, called The Order of Giants. The DLC will take players “deeper into the story of the Nephilim Order,” a tribe of giants that were introduced in a limited capacity during the main game. Microsoft promises “new locations, intricate puzzles, terrifying new foes, and more” in The Order of Giants, and the trailer for the DLC certainly delivers in that regard. 

“One of the most satisfying parts of developing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was the opportunity to create the Nephilim Order, the secret society of giants formed by descendants of fallen angels working to atone for their ancestral sins,” production director John Jennings said in a post on the Xbox blog. “That story spans thousands of years and this DLC has given us the opportunity to develop further upon their lore and look at other aspects not covered in the initial story campaign. There’s something new and unexpected to tell here for fans of the game, and we can’t wait for people to be able to play it for themselves.”

The Order of the Giants is set within Rome and the Vatican City, with a big focus on the crypts below the Vatican. Players will also be facing off against the Cult of Mithras, described as “an enigmatic and sinister new group hellbent on stopping your pursuit of answers,” as well as Father Ventura and Mussolini, which is great news for those fans who like to punch fascists. 

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants, will be available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on September 4, 2025.
