IO Interactive’s James Bond game is called 007 First Light

Hitman developer IO Interactive’s long-awaited James Bond game has a name: 007 First Light.
Fans hoping to hear a little more about the title will be disappointed, though, because that’s all the studio shared at this point — but there’s light at the end of the tunnel: IO Interactive stated that the game reveal will happen this week.
Coincidentally, the studio is one of the developers taking part in Summer Game Fest 2025 on June 6, 2025, which is the perfect stage to lift the curtain around the project.
“The reveal will give a world premiere look at 007 First Light, featuring never-before-seen footage, and start a new era for James Bond in video games,” a press release stated.
IOI’s James Bond project has been in the works since November 2020, although the developer was already working on the perfect pitch for the game in the two years prior to getting the green light. It’s known that the game will have its own James Bond and not use the likeness of an actor who brought 007 to life in past movies.
