Ironmouse quits VShojo following embezzlement accusations
By Marco Wutz

Ironmouse, one of the world’s most popular VTubers and video game streamers, has left her former agency VShojo, accusing the company of embezzling at least half a million dollars she had raised with the intention of donating it to the Immune Deficiency Foundation in addition to other funds.
In a video statement, Ironmouse explained that she instructed VShojo to make the substantial donation to the charity on her behalf, using the money raised during the massive subathon which broke Twitch records at the time. She explained that she usually let the company handle payments in order to protect her identity from potential leaks. However, the money apparently never found its way to the Immune Deficiency Foundation in the year that's since passed. Ironmouse did not delve into further detail on the advice of her lawyer.
She also declared her intention to re-raise the money the charity is owed — an effort that at the time of writing has already surpassed $200,000 USD.
It seems like a majority of other talents formerly associated with VShojo have begun to cut ties with the company, including voice actress and singer AmaLee (Honkai: Star Rail, Nikke), along with publicly supporting Ironmouse.
Founded by a trio including Justin Ignacio (who serves as its CEO), one of the co-founders of Twitch, in 2020, VShojo aimed to capture the VTuber market in the West with a more relaxed management approach than global market leader Hololive. Ironmouse, who joined right at the start, was regarded as the agency’s face and won Creator of the Year at The Game Awards 2023. VShojo has not made a public statement regarding the situation at this time.
