Fans of Naoya Matsumoto’s award-winning manga and anime franchise about slaying monsters can now dive into turn-based RPG Kaiju No. 8 – The Game on iOS and Android. A PC launch of the title via Steam is in the works, but has no concrete date just yet.

Kaiju No. 8 – The Game features original storylines taking place in the popular setting that are fully voice-acted and have been created in collaboration with Matsumoto. Aside from the title’s own stories, players can relive scenarios from the manga and anime or dive into light-hearted slice-of-life stories with the franchise’s characters.

As the title suggests, Kaiju No. 8 is all about defending humanity from invading monsters. You create teams with up to four characters and send them out to confront mighty kaijus by using their skills and ultimates to create strong synergies. Naturally, players will have to level up and equip their characters with ever stronger gear to fulfill their mission.

As a special treat for fans of the anime, the game will feature 5-Star character Reno Ichikawa with his signature weapon AR-Boreas, who just debuted in the most recent episode.

Thanks to having reached over a million pre-registrations, all players will also gain a selector to choose one 5-Star character for free in addition to 20 gacha tickets, a free 4-Star character, and other useful in-game items.
