Samus Aran’s comeback finally has an official date, as Nintendo announced that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be released for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on December 4, 2025.
Revealed at today’s Nintendo Direct, the information was presented alongside the latest look at the game, which included Samus riding a sci-fi motorbike. The next iteration of the series will be played from the first-person perspective once again, but aside from the motorbike Samus is also getting psychic powers to eliminate her foes.
With a release date finally out in the open, fans of the series can rest easy after months of fears that the game might be delayed yet again, which would have added to its troubled development history.
Nintendo will also release Amiibos of Samus and Samus with Vi-O-La (the bike) a month ahead of the game’s launch and of Samus' enemy Sylux alongside release.
