Jurassic World islands to be added to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
By Marco Wutz

Orbx has revealed Jurassic World: Archipelago, an add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PC and Xbox Series X|S. The expansion pack will add the fictional islands off the coast of Costa Rica, which house the infamous dinosaur-cloning and entertainment facilities central to the franchise.
The developer has obtained an official license from Universal Products & Experiences, so you can expect to see all of your favorite landmarks from the movies represented in the sim.
Archipelago will add the new locations Isla Nublar, Isla Matanceros, Isla Pena, Isla Sorna, Isla Muerta, Isla Tacano, Herradura Bay Marine, and Juan Santamaria International Airport to the game, representing them as were just before 2015’s Jurassic World movie.
“Fly between islands, land at iconic locations, and take on aviation challenges like VIP Transport and Guided Tour. You can even head to the mainland, complete with a custom ferry port and upgraded international airport, including a Jurassic World inspired VIP terminal,” the description says.
Dinosaurs will, naturally, be featured in expansion: Prehistoric land, water, and air creatures will populate the islands and the area around them. Orbx already confirmed quite a list of animals to see:
- Apatosaurus
- Brachiosaurus
- Dimorphodon
- Gallimimus
- Mosasaurus
- Pteranodon
- Stegosaurus
- Tyrannosaurus rex
- Velociraptor
More, the developer stated, are yet to be confirmed. Archipelago does not have a release date yet.
