Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy 14 crossover coming this fall
By Ryan Woodrow

Gamescom Opening Night Live is underway, and one of the most exciting and surprising announcements so far is a crossover event for between Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy 14 that will see both games get new content updates featuring things from each other’s games.
Firstly and most importantly, mounts! Monster Hunter Wilds is getting Chocobos, and FF14 is getting Seikrets, so you’ll be able to kit yourself out with even more adorable creatures. While that’s clearly the biggest headline, Wilds is also getting a new title monster in the form of Omega Planetes, while the Arkveld will be a raid boss in FF14.
Prepare for realms to collide in the Monster Hunter Wilds x FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Special Collaboration, coming to the Forbidden Lands late September 2025 as part of Free Title Update 3.

This isn’t the first time these two series have crossed over. Monster Hunter World made its way to FF14 in 2018, which added a Rathalos mount, though Monster Hunter didn’t return the favour that time, with that game getting a Witcher 3 monster instead.
The Monster Hunter Wilds update will be released in late September, while the FF14 update will drop in early October, so it isn’t too much longer before you can get your hands on all of this new content.
