More Pokémon GO Remote Trading assets discovered by dataminers
By Marco Wutz

More hints are forming that Remote Trading is coming to Pokémon GO. The ability to trade with other players without the requirement to be next to them has been on the community’s collective wishlist for many years and it looks like the developers are finally answering their pleas. Assets related to the feature have been discovered by dataminers last month with even more emerging now.
Pokeminers has unearthed what it thinks are tutorial images for Remote Trading. The assets include a special trading device, hearts, an offer screen, a selection screen, and tags.
With these pieces of the puzzle in mind, Pokémon GO’s Remote Trading may work somewhat like this: You select a list of Pokémon you’d be interested in receiving and offering, which can be browsed by other players. If there’s a match between two parties’ interests, they may initiate a trade. The hearts might come into play when it comes to requirements: It’s possible that Remote Trading will only be an option for players who have achieved the highest level of friendship in the game.
Again, this is only speculation based on the discovered assets — and it leaves questions open that are quite important, such as around the accessibility of this feature. Will it be free for all or locked behind paid items?
Pokémon GO has been pretty aggressive with monetization lately, so players are worried about the feature being paygated. At the moment, there is simply too little information about this detail, though.
