Nintendo reveals free Pikmin 4 update with new Decor Pikmin

Nintendo announced that a free update for Pikmin 4 will be released in November 2025. It will add Decor Pikmin to the game, which first debuted in Pikmin Bloom. Aside from bringing some Decor Pikmin from the mobile game to the mainline entry, completely new Decor Pikmin will be available to find, which can also be transferred over to Pikmin Bloom.

The update will also add the Field Camera, a photography feature. You can choose from various angles, add filters, hide characters, and more. The function is also connected to the introduction of Decor Pikmin in some way.

Rounding out the update’s offerings are the new Relaxed difficulty mode, in which creatures won’t attack you and your squad unless you strike them first, and Fierce mode, which turns the difficulty up a notch. You can change the difficulty mode at any point during a playthrough, so feel free to experiment.
