NTE announces first global beta test, opens sign-ups

Neverness to Everness, the upcoming urban fantasy action RPG from Hotta Studio, has opened the sign-ups to its first global closed beta test. Anyone interested in the title can try their luck on the official website — note that signing up and filling out the survey only puts you into a pool of potential testers and does not guarantee access to the test.
From the makers of Tower of Fantasy, NTE combines anime open-world RPG gameplay with life sim elements, taking inspiration from the likes of GTA and The Sims. Players will be able to own apartments and businesses in the metropolis of Hetherau as well as buy and customize cars.
Hetherau is a massive city plagued by supernatural phenomena, which players will have to deal with. Previously shown gameplay footage indicates that the combat system is somewhat similar to Genshin Impact’s. Characters – obtainable from a gacha system – come with unique abilities and strengths to help with the battles.
Players, called Appraisers, will be an anomaly hunter — someone who chases down the eerie, supernatural phenomena and contains them. Hence, the first closed beta test will be called the Containment Test.
“The life of an anomaly hunter isn't easy — so stay sharp and watch out for the strange and unusual. Feeling a bit lost starting out? Don't worry — our friends at Sterry Express are always ready to lend a hand. You'll get the hang of containment in no time. Keep your eyes open — and don't miss the Nexus,” the test’s official introduction said.
The Containment Test will take place on PC only, but will already contain English, Chinese, and Japanese dubs. An end to the recruitment period has not been announced yet, so it’s unclear when the beta kicks off.
