Persona 5: The Phantom X Version 1.3 patch notes

The latest P5X update is here, and it’s a surprisingly big one. While we’re still waiting on more main story content, we’ve got a good selection of new side-stories, Synergy Bonds, new characters, and events to keep us busy for the next couple of weeks. On top of that, a new member of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts joins us alongside a new 4-star character on the roster.

New Phantom Idols – Makoto Niijima & Chizuko Nagao
Two new party members are joining the game in this update. The first is our next 5-star member of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, Makoto Niijima, codename Queen. She stands as one of the better attackers in the game, centering around single-strike Nuke attacks that are buffed when he foes have elemental ailments.
Second is the 4-star Phantom Idol, Chizuko Nagao, codename Vino. She’s a rarity for the Persona series in that she’s an old person, and they’re typically not allowed in on the fun. She’s also a Nuke-based character and, for that reason, serves as a great backup for Queen, helping her reach her full potential.
Crossroads of Fate: Bank Arc
Chapter 2 Part 2 of the Crossroads of Fate story has also been added with this update. If you missed the Museum Arc, then don’t worry, as it’s still playable, but now, if you’ve completed that, the Bank Arc is also unlocked, which will see the gang search for Joker, Closer, and Queen in a recreation of Kaneshiro’s Palace from Persona 5. As before, completing this event will earn you an exchange currency you can use to get rewards, plus it will unlock now stages in the Sinners of Vanity and Gluttony challenge mode.
New Synergy Bonds – Kiyoshi Kurotani & Yumi Shiina
Two new Synergy Bonds are now available. First up is Kiyoshi Kurotani, codename Key, who you likely have already unlocked as a 4-star Phantom Idol. Now you can finally get to know him better when you meet in the library at school. Second is Yumi Shiina, codename Phoebe, who is going to become a playable Phantom Idol in the next update as a Navigator. She’s also the important Synergy Bond who unlocks the P5X Milk Tea recipe for you.

New Side Stories – Haruna Nishimori & Chizuko Nagao
On top of that, two new side-stories have been added, featuring two characters that are already available as Phantom Idols. Haruna Nishimori, codename Riddle, a sweet little girl who you'll already have encountered an Idol. You can now fully interact with her to get her know her better. The other is Chizuko Nagao, one of the Phantom Idols added in this update, so you can get to know her straight away.
On top of this, other side-stories have gotten an update, including Band Club, Soccer Club, and Rikuto Shimizu’s photography story.
New Phantom Pass
On August 6 at 8pm UTC (4pm ET) a new Phantom Pass will be unlocked. This is the reward track you get to progress along when completing Daily, Weekly, and Seasonal goals. While the content hasn’t been announced yet, it will likely be very similar to the first pass and will have a free and premium rewards track for you to complete.
