Full P5X patch notes for Version 2.1, which begins the summer event, including Tropical Motoha

Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

It may be late September, but that hasn’t stopped P5X from launching its Summer event, which spans both this update and the Version 2.2 update, coming in a couple of weeks. This brings us another highly anticipated Phantom Idol in Tropical Motoha, one of the strongest Bless-based units in the game, along with a new story event and a few other small additions.

We’ll break down everything that’s being added in this update with our full P5X patch notes for update 2.1.

New Phantom Idol – Tropical Motoha

Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

This is the first Phantom Idol to be added to the global version of the game, which is an alternate version of an existing character, in this case, Motoha/Closer. She’s kitted out for the beach in her summer outfit, but it’s not just an aesthetic change as she has a completely different moveset, being a Bless-based Sweeper who is a lot more powerful than her base form.

Summer! Swimsuits! Sea Time! Part One

This update also gives us a new story-based quest, where the Phantom Thieves of Desire and a few friends make their way to the beach for a while to have some fun in the sun. This comes with a bunch of challenges and goals that will earn you rewards, including Platinum Milicoins, Everlasting Incense, and Meta Jewels. It will run until October 9, after which part two will begin.

Persona 5: The Phantom X / Atlus

A new character-exclusive outfit has dropped in the store, too, costing 2,880 Meta Jewels. You can unlock Makoto’s swimsuit outfit from Persona 5 to match all of the other girls in their summer outfits during this event. Like the other character outfits, this is purely aesthetic and doesn’t change Makoto’s stats or playstyle at all.

New Phantom Pass

The season has ticked over, and a new Phantom Pass has been unlocked. This is the same as the others, with a free and premium reward track that will earn you very useful rewards as you complete your daily, weekly, and seasonal tasks to progress along the track.

Synergy updates

Kiyoshi Kurotani, also known as Key, as their Synergy story has been updated, which will now let you see his entire storyline as you deepen your bond and check out all the supposedly haunted places around the school.

Fishing

It’s finally here, and once you’ve completed a side quest to introduce it, Fishing will be available as a City Life activity that you can get stuck into, and it’s just as addictive as any other fishing minigame you’ve ever played.
