Persona 5: The Phantom X Version 2.4 patch notes

P5X’s update is here, with this update finally giving us the next chapter of the Persona 5 crossover story and the latest member of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, as it’s been quite a while since we had any of those added to the game. This gives us a bit more story content to sink our teeth into while we wait for the next chapter of the main story, and we get to know one of the upcoming new Phantom Idols with a new Synergy Story.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming in P5X Version 2.4, with our full patch notes.

New Phantom Idol – Futaba Sakura (Oracle)

The original Navi is here, with Futaba becoming the latest Navi unit, and is easily one of the best. Futaba is able to alter a foe’s weaknesses on the fly and make them highly vulnerable to damage. She can inflict the Virus statue effect on foes, which knocks every element down a resistance tier, so Reflect becomes Null, Null becomes Resist, Resist becomes Neutral, and Neutral becomes Weak.

She is one of the most valuable characters you can pull, especially if you’re a free-to-play character who has been saving up their currency.

The Crossroads of Fate: Pyramid Arc

The next chapter of the P5X and P5 crossover story is here in this update. As you might expect with Futaba joining the team, this sees us revisit Futaba’s Palace from Persona 5, which takes the form of a giant and complicated pyramid. It’ll be fun to see all the different dynamics of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and Desire meet up again, with both Riko and Futaba added to the mix, alongside various new boss challenges for rewards.

Returning Phantom Idols – Fox & Queen

We’re continuing the run of return banners as, starting November 13, Fox and Queen will both be available for two weeks to pull on their own special “Most Wanted” banners. Both of these are powerful 5-star units if you don’t already have them. Or if you do, now is a good chance to raise their Awareness level and make them even more powerful.

New Synergy Bond – Masaki Ashiya (Cherish)

Masaki Ashiya is the next Synergy Bond coming to P5X, and when Version 2.5 rolls around in a couple of weeks, you’ll come to know him as the Phantom Idol, Cherish. This is your chance to get to know him as a character first before he becomes a playable unit, and as always with new Synergy Bonds, this update takes his story up to Rank 10, with the other half being added in the next update.

Futaba Maid Outfit

A new outfit will be purchasable for just under 3000 Meta Jewels in this update, this time for the new Phantom Idol, Futaba, which is a recreation of her maid outfit that you could get as DLC for Persona 5.

New Phantom Pass

This update also sees the new Phantom Pass season tick over, so you’ll need to purchase the new pass if you want to keep getting all the useful rewards it gives you for completing your Daily, Weekly, and Seasonal objectives, and it also means that if you haven’t already, you need to hurry up and get the current one squared away.
