Palworld confirms Early Access graduation in 2026

Pocketpair announced that Palworld 1.0 will be released in 2026, marking the game’s exit from Early Access. The developer stated that it’s planning “a massive update to mark this occasion,” but added that 2025 still has “several surprises in store” for fans.

Palworld’s largest update this year saw the addition of Terraria content to the game. Due to the ongoing lawsuit by Nintendo against Pocketpair for patent infringement, the studio also had to invest resources into changing or removing certain mechanics from its title, slowing the pace at which new content could be created.

In addition to fresh content, the developers want to clean up what currently exists. “It’s no secret that Palworld has a lot of quirks and jank,” Pocketpair’s communications director said in a video message. “We want to take the time to properly address those before releasing the game.”

Fans should therefore expect a smaller helping of new content in this year’s winter update, even though it will contain the surprises the studio mentioned.

Palworld is currently available in Early Access on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
