Pokémon Legends: Z-A release date revealed for October 2025

The Pokémon Company has confirmed the release date of Pokémon Legends: Z-A to be October 16, 2025, for both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Interested fans can start to pre-order the title on June 5, 2025.

Those getting the Switch version of the game for their current console have the option of upgrading to a Switch 2 version later down the line for a fee.

“Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a new frontier for the Pokémon video game series, blending an RPG story unfolding in a single city with action elements and a real-time battle system unlike anything seen before in the franchise. Trainers can look forward to the beginning of a new adventure in Lumiose City — one woven by people and Pokémon together!,” the official description of the upcoming game says.

A Pokémon Presents broadcast has been scheduled for July 22, 2025, and will reveal more details about the game alongside other news and announcements.
