Pokémon Legends: Z-A sells 5.8 million copies in a week, trailing Arceus
A more than robust launch for Z-A.
By Marco Wutz

Nintendo announced that Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sold 5.8 million copies in its first week on the market. Approximately half of the units sold were played on Nintendo Switch 2, the company stated further.
Z-A slightly trails its predecessor, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which sold 6.5 million units in the same timeframe. Being the inaugural title of this spin-off series, Arceus had a bit of a marketing advantage as a complete novelty, though, and outpaced even mainline entry Sword and Shield.
