Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC revealed along with Mega Kalos starters
By Ryan Woodrow

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is still a month away, but the upcoming DLC for the game has already been revealed: Mega Dimension. No release date has been set yet, but pre-orders are now available for the DLC that has been promised to add new story content to the game. The teaser showed Hoopa using one of its portal rings, which is perhaps an indication that the DLC’s story will center around this mythical Pokémon.
It also features two new Mega Evolutions, but both for the same Pokémon, Raichu, with Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y joining the roster, being the third Pokémon after Charizard and Mewtwo to have two different Mega forms. Both see Riachu get big lightning bolt features on it, with tails splaying out in the shape of an X for one, and horns in the shape of a Y for the other.
This wasn’t the only new reveal though, as the latest trailer for he base game of Pokémon Legends: Z-A showed us the new Mega Evolution for the Kalos starters, Chestnaught, Delphox, and Greninja.
These three Pokémon are based on the Warrior, Mage, and Rogue archetypes, respectively, and their Megas enhance his. Chestnaught becomes an even more heavily armoured knight with a flowing robe and big shields on its back. Delphox reaches its final form as a witch, its flaming magic wand becoming a broomstick for it to float on, and Greninja…is upside down now.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A releases on October 16, 2025 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
