Our second new Mega Evolution for Pokémon Legends: Z-A has been revealed and it’s another classic Pokémon from Generation 1, Victreebell, which has gotten bigger, rounder, and more full of acid than ever before.

In the brief presentation shown today, we saw some found-footage of two trainers investigating a seemingly abandoned house that has been covered in sweet-smelling acid. After investigating and finding a few Pokémon that were there to spook them like Espurr, Spinarak, and Noibat, they made their way upstairs.

That’s where Victreebell’s trainer was hiding out to train Victreebell, but after it Mega Evolved, it got out of control and smashed through the wall, spraying loads of acid everywhere and quickly chasing everyone out of the house. It joins Mega Dragonite in the confirmed list for new Megas.

This Mega looks almost like a giant sack of acid, with its large mouth now being at the top, to spray everything out like an erupting volcano, rather than at the bottom. It’s got its vines wrapped around its mouth to create a constriction, keeping the acid in and no doubt allowing it to be ejected with much greater force. Either way, it’s not the kind of Pokémon we’d want to get too close to.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is releasing on October 16, 2025 on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
