Capcom's Pragmata finally resurfaces, coming 2026 and assuring us "it's real"

Space Dad: The Video Game, also known as Pragmata, has finally come out of hiding and is pinky promising that we’ll get to play it sometime in 2026.
In 2020, the game was revealed as one of the premier “next-gen” experiences for the newly-released PS5, set for a 2022 release, but that didn’t come to pass as Capcom first delayed the game into 2023 before releasing a weirdly apologetic trailer announcing that it was being delayed indefinitely.
For many games, that’s where the story would end, but thankfully, Pragmata is back with us, as the June 2025 State of Play gave us a new trailer and new release window, this time assuring us that “it’s real” in a rewritten version of the cutesy note from the delay trailer.
It promises to be a “science-fiction action adventure with its own unique hacking twist”, centered around Hugh and the cute little blonde girl who rides around on his back – an android Hugh names Diana. While this trailer was light on story details, cold-hearted father figures slowly opening up to a cute kid is very much in fashion right now, and we can’t see the many ways in which it leverages that to make us cry.
