PUBG is leaving PS4 and Xbox One behind with its coming update

A transition that’s been on the horizon.

KRAFTON has announced that PUBG’s console version will only support PS5 and Xbox Series X|S starting from Version 38.2. The move to abandon support for PS4 and Xbox One had been telegraphed earlier this year, so the transition does not come as a surprise to fans of the game.

Update 38.2 is set to go live on November 13, 2025, following a server maintenance period. The update can be preloaded the day before.

PUBG Console will support 2160p resolutions at 60fps on Xbox Series X and PS5 Pro, while the regular PS5 can run the game at 1440p and 60fps. Players on the Series S can decide between a mode supporting 1080p at 60fps or 1440p at 30fps depending on their preference.

Players with a PUBG account created on PS4 or Xbox One will receive some in-game goodies that can be used on other platforms.

PUBG 38.2 also brings a Porsche collaboration and some gameplay changes to the table.
