Nintendo announces Splatoon Raiders for Switch 2
By Marco Wutz

Nintendo has announced Splatoon Raiders, a single-player twist on its successful multiplayer shooter series, for Nintendo Switch 2.
“In the role of a mechanic, players will go on an adventure in the mysterious Spirhalite Islands alongside the splat-tacular Deep Cut trio,” the first official description of the game says. Aside from that, Nintendo hasn’t specified much of anything around the game, such as a window for launch or specific features.
Splatoon 3, the current iteration of the main series, will receive a free update on Switch and Switch 2 on June 12, 2025, adding new weapons and a returning stage from Wii U.
On the technical side, the patch will allow Splatoon 3 to make use of the Switch 2’s superior hardware, improving its visuals. Players will be able to play together, no matter which of the Switch consoles they use.
