The Adventures of Elliot is a new Square Enix RPG, with a demo available now

Square Enix made their presence felt at today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, ending the presentation with two major announcements, both of HD-2D games, but each has a very different style of gameplay, with Octopath Traveler 0 continuing the series’ turn-based RPG gameplay, while the other was more unique.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is set to be an action-RPG in the HD-2D style, where you’ll face off against enemies in real-time combat. If the title didn’t already give it away, the story will see us follow the adventures of a man named Elliot and his companion, a fairy named Faie.
This journey will take their pair not just across the vast continent of Philabeildia, but across time too, as the trailer said their journey will span 1000 years, all centering around a strange time gate. Hopefully, this means we’ll get a story along similar lines to something like Chrono Trigger, where we can hop around different time periods to see the effects our actions have on the kingdom.
That all remains to be seen, but we’ll be able to get a taste of the gameplay very soon, as, along with the planned 2026 release date, we got the news that a demo will be released today, letting you try out the game right now.
