Netmarble reveals The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android
By Marco Wutz

Netmarble has officially unveiled its next take on the popular anime franchise The Seven Deadly Sins. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is an open-world RPG set to be released for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android in the second half of 2025.
The game is being developed by the same team that previously made the successful The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the title will feature real-time combat and a large-scale open world to explore, including systems like fishing and cooking.
Origin is set in a timeline between the original anime series and its successor, Four Knights of the Apocalypse, and puts Tristan, the son of the original series’ main characters Meliodas and Elizabeth, into the main role. In the story, the continent of Britannia is once more under threat: Powers from the Book of Stars are causing twists in time and space, opening the way for the game’s multiverse narrative.
Players will encounter familiar faces and places as well as original creations during the story and their free exploration of the game’s open world. They can also use mounts to ride and fly as well as dive to explore underwater areas. The world’s day-night-cycle will cause different monsters to spawn at different times as well.
Origin enables players to create parties with up to four characters and each hero’s skills will vary depending on which of the three weapon classes you equip them with. Certain compositions will allow special Combined Attacks.
Interested fans can already pre-register for the game on its official website.
