THQ Nordic has concluded their 2025 digital showcase, and there was some exciting stuff on offer, including a few surprises from series we thought may never see the light of day again. We’ve put together this rundown of our biggest highlights from the showcase, with the games that we’re most looking forward to getting our hands on.

The biggest surprise of the showcase was the brief teaser for Darksiders 4. It had been previously said that a new game in the series was in development, but it’s still a surprise to see that it’s a new mainline game in the series, which hasn’t been seen since Darksiders Genesis in 2019. This tease didn’t give us much, but it looks like it will feature all Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in some form, after they all played solo roles in the previous games.

There is no word on a release date, but it is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and is available to wishlist now.

SpongeBob SquarePants – Titans of the Tide

Neptune, Mr Krabs, Squidward, and Spongebob in the Krusty Krab

The next original SpongeBob title is on its way for more 3D action-platforming action. This game centers around a conflict between King Neptune and The Flying Dutchman that puts Bikini Bottom under threat, and it’s up to our favourite sponge and starfish to save the day. Unlike previous games, you’ll be able to switch between SpongeBob and Patrick on the fly, making for a much smoother puzzle-platforming experience.

SpongeBob SquarePants – Titans of the Tide is set to release on November 18, 2025

Gothic Remake

Four adventurers posing on an orange-tinted landscape with an army in the fog.
Gothic Remake / THQ Nordic

The remake of the cult-classic 2001 PC RPG looks to be coming along great. The visuals are the most obvious upgrade, with it being ported into Unreal Engine 5, it looks better than ever. That said, some of that early 2000s jank is still visible, mostly in the animations, which look like they’ve just been ported straight onto the UE5 models. However, that may change by the time the game comes out, and some might even say it’s a charming nod to the feel of the original. Either way, this’ll be a great opportunity for a fresh audience to experience a great, but somewhat forgotten, RPG.

Gothic Remake is set for an early 2026 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The Guild: Europa 1410

A trial with different options for the verdict.
The Guild: Europa 1410 / THQ Nordic

The Guild is back, and while there is some apprehension around it after the disappointing release of The Guild 3 in 2022, this new entry in the series looks very promising. This series sees you navigate the cutthroat medieval society of Europe in the 15th century as you try your best to grow from a peasant trying to flog some wares to a noble in a position of power in your country, hopefully setting up a dynasty that will last for generations.

The Guild: Europa 1410 is available to wishlist now on PC.

Tides of Tomorrow

The ghost of a player called Sarah46 pushing a ghostly spectre down a hall.
Tides of Tomorrow / THQ Nordic

One of the most interesting games on the horizon is Tides of Tomorrow, the next game from the developers of the procedurally generated road-trip game, Road 96. This game is trying to push that idea even further, with you able to follow the same path as other players through this flooded world. However, you don’t need to make the same choices as whoever you follow; at key moments, you’ll be able to branch the story off in all sorts of directions, breaking from one path to switch to another and watching the consequences unfold. It’s an ambitious concept, but we like what we’ve seen so far.

Tides of Tomorrow releases on PC on February 24, 2026.

Fatekeeper

A person in dark, heavy armour holding a rotting head in one hand and a sword in the other as they stand near splashing lava.
Fatekeeper / THQ Nordic

Last up is a brand new IP, Fatekeeper, which follows on from the trend of games like Avowed and Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon this year, of being a new studio’s take on the Elder Scrolls style of first-person fantasy gameplay, though unlike those titles, Fatekeeper will be more linear in design. From what little gameplay we saw, it has promise, with hints of intricacies in combat and a bit of puzzling in the level design, so it’s definitely one to watch.

No hint of a release date for this one, but you can wishlist it now on Steam.
