Update (July 14, 2025, 6:33pm CEST): The Scout feature in Umamusume: Pretty Derby is back online. You should be automatically downloading a small hotfix when entering the game, after which you'll be able to access the banners once again.

The feature had been down for about 14 hours today due to an incorrect information display for one of the Support Cards on offer. Players who started playing Umamusume before July 14, 2025, have been issued 150 Carats as an apology, which can be claimed from the home screen.

Cygames has confirmed that “an issue” has been found with the Scout screen in Umamusume: Pretty Derby and the feature has been disabled for maintenance on July 14, 2025. The studio didn’t provide any further details on what the problem is or give a timeline for resolving it.

At the time of writing, the Scout feature is still offline and players can therefore not pull for any new Umamusume using their Carats.

Scouting is how players in the gacha game for PC, iOS, and Android obtain not only additional characters to train and race with, but also the necessary support cards to raise their stats. The temporary downtime on the feature is a bit frustrating for players, as some characters can only be obtained in a limited timeframe — naturally, it’d be unfortunate if a player would lose out on the opportunity to pull for a character they want because of the surprising maintenance.

It’s currently unclear whether Cygames will issue some additional Carats as compensation for the inconvenience, as is traditionally the case.
