Umamusume’s second career scenario, Unity Cup, gets a release date

A new single-player challenge is arriving.
Cygames

Cygames has announced that the Unity Cup: Shine On, Team Spirit career scenario is coming to the global PC and mobile versions of Umamusume: Pretty Derby on November 6, 2025.

Unity Cup: Shine On, Team Spirit follows up on URA Finale: The Beginning, which is currently the only scenario available in the game’s single-player career mode.

Running alongside the Twinkle Series, where we race in URA Finale: The Beginning, is a team competition called the Unity Cup. Tracen Academy decides to take part in the league, but then Director Akikawa has to leave the country for a business trip and her deputy, Riko Kashimoto, steps in. We also have to face two new rivals, Little Cocon and Bitter Glasse. While it’s not the ideal situation, we must press ahead with training regardless.

The Unity Cup is divided into Preseason and Finals with races being held two times a year. In some regards, Unity Cup is similar to the game’s Team Trials mode. For example, we choose our opponents for Unity Cup races and can either play it safe by challenging teams with a low rank or gamble on an underdog win against a high-ranked squad. Naturally, the goal is to rise through the ranks and ultimately win the entire competition.

How do you build your team? Well, all the Support Cards you use during your run will join your Trainee and become her team members. Taiki Shuttle, Haru Urara, Rice Shower, and Matikane Fukukitaru are available to join the team as Scenario Link Characters.

Of course, the Unity Cup comes with its own set of scenario events and effects. Gameplay is a bit different, too, since the training largely revolved around upgrading your team stats alongside the Trainee’s individual stats. A special training type, Unity Training, will be key to enhancing all members’ stats in the most efficient way. Unity Training can be further boosted by Spirit Bursts, which are a bit like Friendship Training in that they provide additional stat gains. However, they also trigger Skill Hints, including for special, scenario-exclusive skills.

As you win Unity Cup races and upgrade your team’s clubhouse, you can recruit additional characters to join your squad.
