Vampire Survivors co-op mode and Balatro crossover out now
By Marco Wutz

Vampire Survivors creator Poncle is going full Thanos — only he’s not collecting Infinity Stones, but video game crossovers. After putting several well-known IPs into his own game and in turn getting Vampire Survivors into Two Point Museum, the developer has absorbed fellow indie hit Balatro in the latest collaboration, available for free on all platforms.
The partnership brings four Balatro characters to Vampire Survivors, as Jimbo, Canio, Chicot, and Perkeo put on blood-resistant clown make-up to fight hordes of undead. They bring four brand-new weapons as well as a new stage to the game. The Ante Chamber, as the map is called, comes with a preview of the Survarots mechanic, which is set to make its way to the base game in the future for even more powercreep options.
But that’s not it for today’s update: The online co-op mode for Vampire Survivors is here, too, allowing up to four players to team up. Note that co-op mode is not available for mobile yet.
Rounding out Version 1.14 is the Ode to Castlevania update, which brings even more content from the franchise into the top-down auto-battler — 16 new characters and weapons, a fresh adventure, and a dozen new music tracks. The Ode to Castlevania update is available for all players who own the DLC, so you won’t have access to that content with just the base game. That expansion certainly looks a lot more attractive with the additional padding, though.
Please note that the Epic Game Store and Nintendo Switch versions of the game will receive parts of this patch in a few days, on October 31, 2025.
