Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s first DLC will add the Arbites class
By Marco Wutz

Players of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide can look forward to jumping into missions with a new character class starting on June 23, 2025, across all platforms on which the game is available. The game’s first paid expansion will bring the Arbites class into the fray, so players can deliver imperial justice with even more righteousness than before.
Every Arbitrator commands a cyber-mastiff that will accompany the player and can be sent out to disable high-priority targets or kept close to protect its owner. Members of this class are very effective at laying down suppressive fire and other ways of crowd control. For example, they’re able to deploy a vox platform that barks imperial propaganda to weaken the enemies’ will.
Members of the Adeptus Arbites have access to Arbites Shotguns with special ammunition and can wield Assault Shields in combination with Arbites Shotpistols, giving them protection as well as close-range firepower. If all else fails, the Dominator Maul can be used to lay down the law.
Players can fully customize their Arbitrator – plus their cyber-mastiff – and either pick one of three pre-determined talent trees or mix and match their skills from over 80 talent nodes.
In addition to the paid content, Fatshark will publish a free update that improves the onboarding and narrative experience. It will also rework the difficulty progression system, locking the higher difficulties not only behind player levels, but also behind a series of missions that will have users demonstrate their skills.
Verminous Dreams Saga concludes in Vermintide 2
Darktide’s fantasy pendant, Vermintide 2, sees the conclusion of the Verminous Dreams Saga, a campaign that’s been going on for a while and offered free content additions to players.
In the finale, players have to venture into Skaven-infested tunnels below Athel Lithri to stop the vermin from detonating a warp bomb in the Well of Dreams.
As is tradition, the Skulls event returns in time to celebrate Warhammer Skulls, giving players the opportunity to unlock some cosmetic rewards.
