Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 has been announced for PC with a planned launch in 2026. The continuation of the iconic RTS franchise is not being developed by Relic Entertainment, the studio behind the first three games of the series, though. Instead, Dawn of War 4 will be created by King Art Games, the German studio behind Iron Harvest, and published by Deep Silver.

Dawn of War 4 will feature four playable factions: Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Orks, and Necrons. The game’s campaign will feature more than 70 missions in total and take place on Kronus, the location of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. Black Library author John French has written the story, which is set about 200 years after the events of the original game’s expansion.

The RTS is set to be a little more traditional than the widely disliked Dawn of War 3 with aspects such as base-building returning. With more than ten commanders, over 110 units and buildings, a level editor, and an army painter, Dawn of War 4 certainly looks full of possibilities.

Multiplayer is part of the package as well with traditional skirmish and co-op modes as well as the beloved Last Stand mode from Dawn of War 2.
