The release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been a massive success for everyone involved — publisher Focus Entertainment, developer Saber Interactive, and IP owner Games Workshop can all give themselves a round of applause. Although another Space Marine game has already been confirmed to be in development, the future of Space Marine 2 had been left open at the time.

Now, Focus Entertainment has confirmed that Space Marine 2 will get a second year of support in the form of free updates as well as paid DLC. All of this will be packaged as a second yearly season pass, similar to what the game got initially for its first year of post-launch support.

“This extended support to Space Marine 2 has been possible thanks to your unwavering support, so once again, thank you very much for being part of it!. Expect new PvE missions, enemies, weapons, and… more,” Focus announced.

The next major content update is planned for September 2025 to celebrate the first anniversary of the title. It will come with a new PvP mode and a new map to host it. Both sides will play as the forces of Chaos and can even control the mighty Helbrute. Fresh Chaos armor parts will be accompanying this release. Update 10.0 will also bring the Power Axe as a new melee weapon.

Focus also revealed that the new class for the game, which has been announced a while ago to become available for PvP and PvE modes, will be the Techmarine.

Update 8.0 for Space Marine 2 recently introduced a new PvE mode to the game.
