Whiskerwood release date announced for PC
By Marco Wutz

Minakata Dynamics’ cat and mouse-themed city-builder Whiskerwood will be released into Early Access for PC on November 6, 2025, and become available via PC Game Pass on Day 1, the studio from Japan announced.
A demo of the Hooded Horse-published title is available for free from today, enabling players to feel the tyrannical oppression of their cat overlords first hand. That’s essentially the twist: In this game, you don’t build up a productive and flourishing colony for yourself or to make the citizens happy — your mousey people need to pay regular tribute to their feline, capitalist bosses or get punished. By being eaten, presumably.
Whiskerwood combines your favorite elements from the Anno series with a bit of that Factorio automation spice, challenging you to create efficient production chains in order to meet those all-important quotas. Ever seen a hungry cat? Then you know there’s no stopping them if you attempt to ignore their demands.
But what if there was an opportunity to cast off your shackles and achieve rodent freedom?
You can check out the free Whiskerwood demo on Steam.
