Kuro Games reveals Phrolova, Chisa, and more upcoming characters for Wuthering Waves
By Marco Wutz

Kuro Games has confirmed that Phrolova will become a playable character in Wuthering Waves, though the developer didn’t reveal any details beyond that yet.
Phrolova has been an antagonist in the story thus far, belonging to an organization that seeks to awaken the Threnodians and cause chaos around the world. WuWa 2.0 saw us face off against her in the final battle of that update’s story quest, after which she remained quiet for a couple of patches, leaving the intriguing to one of her colleagues.
She’ll finally return in WuWa 2.4 and become playable in one of the following versions.
Alongside Phrolova, Kuro Games teased several other Resonators players can expect to meet – and play as – in the coming months.
Augusta appears to be a leading figure in the upcoming region of Septimont, as she can be seen holding a speech inside a filled stadium in the trailer. Her name gives away as much, being the female form of Augustus — the name of Rome’s first emperor, which went on to become a title taken by every following ruler of the empire.
Iuno might be a counterpart to Augusta above, if you note their themes: One is the sun, one is the moon. Her name is derived from the Roman goddess Juno, the wife of Jupiter — and as Latin doesn’t feature the letter ‘J’, they were written ‘Iuno’ and ‘Iupiter’.
Qiuyuan doesn’t seem to fit into Septimont and looks more like someone hailing from Huanglong. As he’s called “the lone wayfaring swordsman,” we can assume that he’s either traveling on a quest or was exiled from his home.
Chisa looks like the ‘loli psychopath with giant weapon’ archetype… and she looks to be a great execution of it. Her announcement post dubs her the “Incisor of the strings of annihilation.”
Finally, there is Galbrena — a pistol wielder with a raven theme going on. She’s a “‘Devil’ ever bathed in purifying flames.”
