Doom, Dredge, and Vermintide 2 lead Xbox Game Pass additions in May 2025

Microsoft has revealed the first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions in May 2025 with a mixture of brand-new releases, big series, and strong indie contenders bringing lots of variety. Available with immediate effect is single-player fishing adventure Dredge, one of 2023’s biggest indies.

With Revenge of the Savage Planet, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo three Day 1 titles await players in this wave. Doom is, of course, the big eye catcher. The Dark Ages brings the successful shooter formula into a dark medieval fantasy setting, through which players must hack ‘n slash their way.

Players looking for a fantastic co-op game to play with their friends need look no further than Warhammer: Vermintide 2. Supporting groups of up to four players, the game throws you into Left 4 Dead-style horde survival maps during the final days of the Old World.
