ZZZ 2.2 release time, preload, and server maintenance details

Version 2.2 of Zenless Zone Zero is at the gates: Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night is set to be released this week.

Bringing two experienced soldiers from Obol Squad into the roster of playable characters in the form of Seed and Orphie & Magus, ZZZ 2.2 is built for combat. In addition to the new units, the game will get the continuation of its main storyline, several optimizations, and a series of fresh in-game events.

ZZZ 2.2 – server downtime

The Zenless Zone Zero servers are scheduled to go offline on September 4, 2025, at 6am (UTC+8) in preparation for update 2.2. Here’s what that means for your timezone:

The ZZZ server downtime is planned to last for five hours, after which you can get back into the game and dive into Version 2.2’s content.

ZZZ 2.2 – release time

HoYoverse doesn’t usually need any more time than the scheduled five hours, so here’s when ZZZ 2.2 should be available in your timezone under normal circumstances:

Each hour of server downtime will be compensated with 60 Polychromes, so you can expect to receive at least 300 Polychromes for the inconvenience. In case maintenance takes longer than usual or bugs that impacted the player experience in the previous version have been fixed, you’ll receive additional Polychromes. Make sure to visit your inbox and claim your free currency while Version 2.2 is live — otherwise Nicole is going to grab it to pay off her debts.

ZZZ 2.2 – preload

The preload for Zenless Zone Zero update 2.2 is now available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. By downloading the update’s files ahead of time, you can cut down on your waiting time on the day of the patch, enabling you to get back into the action more quickly.
