3 Best Changes in Latest Overwatch PTR Update
By Jack O'Dwyer
Blizzard has been rolling out updates for Overwatch's Public Test Realm (PTR) this month and there have been a ton of awesome changes. Here's the best three changes we've seen so far on the PTR.
3 Best Changes on the PTR
1. Role Queue
Role Queue is the perfect addition to the Overwatch match system. Now, you can choose what role you want to play before jumping into a Quickplay or Competitive game. This is expected to cut down on squabbling over who will play what role and should be a good tool to practice for the 2-2-2 role lock. More information is available on Blizzard's blog.
2. Symmetra's Teleporter
It's no secret players have had issues with Symmetra's teleporter. It always seemed like an object with intense potential that was never given the chance to actually achieve. Well, get ready for one markedly solid improvement. Symmetra's teleporter now has an infinite duration which can significantly cut down on the time your team will need to get around the map. With a cooldown of 12 seconds and a re-use time decrease to one second, this ability is poised to become the real game-changer it should have been.
3. Brigitte Is No Longer Invincible
While this might personally crush me as a fan of her, Blizzard has decided to drastically nerf Brigitte on the PTR. That's right, Brigitte can die now. Her shield health has been decreased from 500 to 200, stun duration has decreased from 0.9 seconds to 0.75, ultimate costs 10% more, self-heal from Inspire has been halved—among other changes. The developers have stated this is to make her more of a healer at the cost of her survivability.
