League of Legends boasts over 150 different champions with some desperately needing a buff in Patch 12.17. Here are three champions that we hope to see receive a buff in the latest patch of League of Legends.
Champions That Need in Patch 12.17
Gwen has been struggling in the current meta of League of Legends. While other champions have been treated well by the recent patch notes, Gwen has been consistently nerfed to the point that she sits at a 45% win rate. With the upcoming Patch 12.17, we hope to see Gwen receive a few noticeable buffs as she brings in a fun and unique playstyle to League of Legends.
Poppy's 46% win rate and her 2% pick rate show a larger problem in the League of Legends meta. With a meta so highly damage-dependent, it comes as no surprise that a champion such as Poppy, with a high emphasis on tankiness, is left without much success. Most of what Poppy is built around, namely fighting in the front line and soaking up damage, is done by champions better than she can. In the current meta, Poppy cannot contribute to a team fight as much as a champion like Kayn can. While this is unfortunate for Poppy mains, a simple buff or two in Patch 12.17 could be what it takes to move Poppy to a better spot in the meta.
Shyvana's main problem comes from a lack of central strength as a champion. Her passive, Fury of the Dragonborn, can be completely negated if Shyvana or her team doesn't take any dragons. Her damage is solid in her dragon form, but subpar while in her human form. Her ultimate is reliant on her fury bar and without it, she adds little value to her team. While all of these problems by themselves aren't enough to make a champion bad, it is the combination of them that ultimately brings Shyvana down. While she did enjoy some moderate success in earlier patches, with Patch 12.17 on the horizon, we hope to see a buff come to the half-dragon, Shyvana.
