The ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals kicked off Tuesday with the 16 best teams for the regular season heading to Odense, Denmark.

Teams in attendance have three things to fight for: the $250,000 grand prize, a win toward Intel Grand Slam Season 4 and a direct seed into IEM Katowice 2020. The storylines for the event are pretty much writing themselves even before the action got underway.

Here are the three storylines at the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals.

3. Will Team Liquid be Able to Deal With a Short Turnaround?

Team Liquid comes into the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals after losing out to Astralis in the ECS Season 8 final. A disappointing loss after going up 1-0 in that series, but there’s no time to dwell on it as EPL is here. With an immediate turnaround and a tough travel schedule, Team Liquid needs to rise to the occasion. We’ve seen Evil Geniuses falter at DreamHack Masters Malmo after winning ESL One New York. Will Team Liquid have the same fate in Denmark?

2. Which Team Will Step up?

Multiple teams on the bubble are in attendance in Odense. Teams such as FaZe Clan, MIBR, Natus Vincere and Fnatic are in need of a dominant performance to prove they belong at the top. Especially Na`Vi considering the roster hasn’t showed up since adding Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovacs

1. Is Astralis Starting Another Ridiculous Run?

Astralis is hot off the heels of an ECS Season 8 championship win heading into Odense. The team has already lifted an EPL trophy on home soil so another one considering its current form isn’t out of the question at all. It would appear we’re on the verge of another dominant Astralis run and Odense might be the catapulting event.
