With the release of Emergence in Apex Legends Season 10, players might be wondering if their favorite weapons are in need of a buff in the current meta. With a new season comes new Legends and weapons on the top of the list, and certainly those that could be improved down the road.

It is important to keep in mind that most weapons still have high damage potential and can secure kills when in the hands of an efficient player. That being said, in Season 10 weapons such as the Alternator (Care Package), M600 Spitfire (Care Package), Kraber .50-Cal Sniper, and Peacekeeper are highly efficient choices when compared to their various types of weapon counterparts.

3 Weapons That Need a Buff in Apex Legends Season 10

Here are three weapons thus far in Season 10 that seem like they could use a buff:

  • Charge Rifle
  • Mastiff
  • Havoc

While the Charge Rifle does a significant amount of damage to shields, the charge-up time required to actually fire the weapon makes it a sub-par choice when compared to other sniper rifles and weapons that rid of shields, such as the Alternator and the Sentinel.

The Mastiff could use a buff simply because it feels extremely lackluster when compared to either the Peacekeeper or the EVA-8, and until that buff happens players are much more likely to pick up these shotgun counterparts rather than the Mastiff. Likewise, the Havoc feels lacking in close-range firefights and outclassed by a number of weapons, including another energy weapon – the Volt SMG. A buff to both of these weapons would greatly improve their pick-rate and overall efficiency.
