Valorant recently dropped into the gaming world and took it by storm. Amid the chaos, Fortnite lost mounds of popularity and Epic Games has reasons to panic.

With the fan love Valorant has gotten since its start, the attention has been taken away from lots of games. The main one being Fortnite, who has had it the worst.

The Epic Games battle royale was already losing some love with how so-so the last season was, and now with a new game out they have lost their fans mainly on Twitch. Most of their streamers hopped onto the hype train and joined Valorant, which of course drained Fortnite viewership.

But with all of these problems, Fortnite might be safe and living past the Valorant hype.

4 Reasons Fortnite Might Outlast Valorant

1. It's Still Here Isn't It?

Fortnite has lasted through other new games that received some hype (Apex Legends for example) and will continue to do the same. While it will lose viewers on Twitch and gamers, it won't be so drastic that the game will go nonexistent.

2. Valorant Hype Will Drop

Like with all new games, especially team-based shooters, the hype is unreal the first month or two. But afterwards, no matter how small the drop is, there will be a decline. At the extreme least, there will be one person who gets tired of Valorant and goes back to ole' reliable Fortnite, proving that it will continue to live on.

3. Epic Games Will Pull Something

Epic Games is smart and won't sit idly by while they lose fans to Valorant. Epic Games will likely make some kind of drastic change to Fortnite to bring the fans back. There is always something more that Epic Games can add to Fortnite, which is why it won't die out for quite some time.

4. Valorant is Thriving Off Marketing

Valorant has so many viewers and fans now because of the beta drops in Twitch streams. As long as this continues, there will always be an exuberant amount of viewers looking for one of those drops. But after this ends, all of the viewers looking for a Beta key drop will go away as they have no reason to watch anymore. Then, it will be apparent how the hype dissipates and Fortnite really has not as much to worry about as we may think.
