Bel'Veth, the Void Empress and newest champion added to the League of Legends roster, is all about speed. Her attack speed does not have a cap, and is increased after she uses an ability. Her W reduces the cooldown of her Q, and her R gives her increased move speed and total attack speed — you get the idea.

From what we know of her kit, we know she'll strike fast and strike hard if given the opportunity. So, what champions may be the best counter for Bel'Veth when she hits the live servers?

5 Best Counters to Bel'Veth

1. Volibear

Volibear is good at being able to sustain and execute damage. He may face danger from Bel'Veth's ability to stack true damage, but with the ability to stun from his Q, and slow from his E and R, he may prove a decent counter to Bel'Veth's movement speed and attack speed.

2. Trundle

Trundle's kit includes a lot of slows, which are extremely helpful to avoid being chased by a speedy Bel'Veth. With his E being able to slow and knock back enemies from afar, and his Q able to slow a champion down if they get too close. With his ability to reduce armor and magic resist with his R, this may be of use in taking down a Bel'Veth when she does pounce.

3. Kindred

Kindred's R is what may be of the most benefit against Bel'Veth. Bel'Veth wants to kill as fast as possible, quickly reaching her target, immobilizing them, and hitting away while stacking her true damage. With Kindred's R being able to make teammates invulnerable to damage, it gives them a chance to deal With Bel'Veth before she is able to do her worst. 4. Shaco

Shaco's ability to create a clone is already great as is, but can be especially helpful against Belveth's E, which seeks to damage the lowest health enemy. Using his W to put traps around the map can also help deter Bel'Veth's movement.

5. Fiddlesticks

Fiddlesticks kit is centered on crowd control through fear. With his ability to fear an enemy with his Q, silence enemies with his E, and fear enemies as long as he his hidden when he attacks, he has a chance of being able to stop Bel'Veth from being able to spam her attacks to her liking, and stop her from chasing a teammate.

Bel'Veth will be released to the live servers in Patch 12.11.
