In League of Legends Patch 11.6 there's a big shift coming to the mid lane. In previous patches, Riot has made several pushes to help the mages gain some power within the meta. However, now thanks to a few item changes the landscape of the mid lane is sure to change with the mages taking a backseat to the assassins.

Here are the five best mid laners in League of Legends Patch 11.6:

5 Best Mid Laners in League of Legends Patch 11.6

Yone

Yone retains the spot he's held all of Season 11. The lowered life steal on Immortal Shieldbow dealt him a blow but now he has increased attack speed meaning he'll be dealing out even more damage.

Zed

The Seeker's Armguard nerf has brought Zed back to his former level of dominance. Now that enemies will have less armor his armor penetration will separate him from the rest of the pack. With Serrated Dirk and the buff to Serpents Fang last patch Zed is going to run wild in the mid lane.

Qiyana

Another champion that benefits from the Seeker's Armguard nerf is Qiyana. After her previous buffs she's had one of the best win rates amongst mid laners. So now that enemies have less armor Qiyana will only be even more of a threat than before.

Talon

After Talon's buff's in 11.4 and the Serpents Fang buff in the previous patch he immediately became a front-runner in the mid lane. This is starting to sound like a broken record, but the Seeker's Armguard nerf just made this champion even stronger. There's nothing enemy mages will be able to against him considering they won't have the armor to fight anymore.

Jayce

Jayce returns for his ability to deal heavy physical damage to enemies in the early game. Without the extra armor there's nothing they'll be able to do against the massive damage from his Shock Blast (Q).
