In League of Legends Patch 11.5 top lane players can look forward to new buffs for a few commonly used legendary items. The AD bruisers who sit at the top of the tier lists are going to be getting a bit of assistance with buffs coming to Maw of Malmortus and Black Cleaver.

Hopefully, the health and magic resistance do well to combat the changes we saw in the last update where Riot nerfed the self-healing factor and gave out some major improvements to AP items.

Here's a list of the five best top laners in League of Legends Patch 11.5:

5 Best Top Laners In League of Legends Patch 11.5

Darius

The dunk master joins the list as one of the most lethal top laners in the current meta. Darius does tons of damage in the early game especially with his Hemorrhage passive that makes him a nuisance to opposing champions. Although Stridebreaker is generally part of his build with the buffs and reduced cost to Black Cleaver players may go a different route. The movement speed per stack of Carve will allow players to close the gap and land their Apprehend (W) for the big dunk.

Gnar

This pint-sized ball of terror makes his way back onto the top five list for many of the same reasons that Darius did. His damage is undeniable and paired with that range it's hard for many champions who need to close the gap to handle him in the early game.

Hecarim

Hecarim hasn't received a lot of love from the top lane in a while. But 11.5 may be the change of that with the new Black Cleaver changes. Hecarim has a ton of gap closers with his Devastating Charge (E) and Onslaught of Shadows (R) that'll make it hard for anyone to get away from him. But with the +5 movement speed for each stack of Carve on an enemy he'll be dishing out some major damage thanks to his passive ability which adds AD equal to the percentage of his bonus movement speed.

Wukong

This champion is making the list because of his high damage, great mobility, and incredible sustain, all-around Wukong is a force to be reckoned with in the top lane. But with the Black Cleaver buffs it'll be incredibly difficult to escape his pursuit and the Maw of Malmortis buffs will make AP champions less of a threat with the increased magic resistance.

Urgot

Urgot is going to be a menace in Patch 11.5. With Stridebreaker getting increased dash distance and the Black Cleaver movement speed buffs he'll be right on top of any enemy he needs to eliminate. Couple that in with his Disdain (E) and no one will ever be able to escape his grasp.
