League of Legends will soon hit the double digits in its 2019 patch cycle and fittingly to celebrate the one-zero milestone, Patch 9.10 will bring many changes to champions, items, game modes and cosmetics. Here are the five biggest changes to keep an eye out for heading in.

5. Battle Academia Skins

The Battle Academia skins were teased ahead of the update. These anime-esque skins, borrowing most notably from current hit series My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia for the purists), bring skins to popular champions like Jayce, Ezreal and Lux and will be well-received.

4. Riven and Vayne Nerfs

Players have wanted nerfs to Riven and Vayne for quite a while now, particularly as top lane threats who can quickly snowball out of control past their risky early levels. The developers have finally obliged, at least a bit: Riven's Broken Wings (Q) ability got buffed but her more obnoxious Valor (E) was nerfed with four seconds added to its cooldown, while Vayne's Final Hour (R) cooldown reduction on her Tumble (Q) was changed from a flat 50% to 30%/40%/50%.

3. Conqueror Rune Nerfed

The Conqueror rune has been controversial for a long time, and it continues to be one of the most-debated runes in the game. Providing both true damage as well as healing often allows Conqueror users to out-trade enormous amounts of damage. Patch 9.10 will see it nerfed from 10% of damage dealt converted to true damage and healing to a more tentative 8%.

2. Guinsoo's Rageblade Changed

Guinsoo's Rageblade falls into two camps: abused by champions with proc-on-hit abilities (like Kai'Sa or Kalista) or completely ignored. The update will change the Phantom Hits' frequency from 2 to 3, and buffs the Armor and Magic penetration to a flat 15% at all levels.

1. New Champion Yuumi

League of Legends' newest champion is the self-explanatory Yuumi the Magical Cat. Yuumi will be closely-monitored post-release so Patch 9.10 will likely kick-start a long series of updates to stabilize her place in the game's balance.
