5 Changes Players Want in League of Legends Patch 9.9

League of Legends Patch 9.8 is out and provides players with a lot of the changes for which they've been clamoring. It's a general lull in demands for Patch 9.9 but there are still a few more adjustments players would like to see. Here are the five changes players want to see in the next update.

5. Riven Nerfs

A few patches ago, players were in high demand of Riven nerfs. Now over a month later, she continues to terrorize the solo queue ladder as a deadly threat with heavy damage output and exceptional mobility. Some nerfs would be widely welcomed.

4. Punishment for AFK in Fountain

Punishment for being AFK (originally an acronym for away-from-keyboard and now a general term for not playing despite being in the game) exists as inactivity causes players to be kicked. However, there is no system in place to identify when players intentionally be inactive by just clicking/emoting around in the fountain area. A recognition system that allows such players to be kicked is needed.

3. Aatrox Changes

Aatrox was teased as likely to receive another large rework. The Darkin Blade has gone up and down with buffs and nerfs since his previous overhaul, and is currently in an odd place in terms of balance. Changes are needed to straighten out his place in the game.

2. Return of Lane-Swaps

In G2 Esports' LEC victory over Origen, the team memorably pulled off a lane swap to dominate their opponent, with the highlight being jungler Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski playing a solo Morgana in the bot lane. While funnel comps were widely hated due to their omnipresence, the possibility of lane swaps as one strategy among many would be very exciting.

1. Music Video for Bring Home the Glory

It's a bit of a cheat since it's not technically related to the patch, but coinciding the Patch 9.9 update with the reveal of a new music video for the recently-released "Bring Home the Glory" theme for the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational would be great for both fan hype as well as building Riot Games' extensive library of awesome animation, such as the Awaken trailer.
