League of Legends Patch 11.16 is set to release on Aug. 11, and players are looking for some improvements to the game. Big news dropped a couple weeks ago announcing that Patch 11.16 would ship a Sona rework that players are now looking forward to.
On top of that, there are some other changes that we want for Patch 11.16
1. Akshan Needs Some Love
Akshan was released with Patch 11.15 to great excitement. However, that excitement has turned to disappointment as the marksman continues to perform at the bottom of marksman win rates even after receiving a hotfix. Hopefully Akshan will receive some buffs to put him on par with other marksman.
2. More Ultimate Spellbook
Ultimate Spellbook's first set of playtime is scheduled to end on Aug. 9. The game mode has seen success with players praising it for enabling creativity and new champion combinations. While Ultimate Spellbook is set to be removed by Patch 11.16, we want to see it brought back with more options for ultimates that will enable creative gameplay.
5 Changes We Want in League of Legends Patch 11.16
3. Sona Mains Rejoice
The Sona rework will officially be released with Patch 11.16 and Sona mains are hoping it will put their favorite champion back on the mainstage. The changes include updates to her Hymn of Valor (Q), Aria of Perseverance (W), and Crescendo (R).
4. Cassiopeia Needs to Pick a Lane
Cassiopeia received a buff to her Twin Fangs (E) in Patch 11.15 that has made her excel in not only mid lane, but top and bottom as well. A change that would solidify her identity would be welcomed in Patch 11.16.
5. We Can't Forget about Gwen
Akshan has taken the spotlight from the previous recent release, Gwen. Patch 11.15 nerfed her Skip ‘n Slash (E) which resulted in her dropping to the worst win rate top laner. Just like Akshan, we think she deserves some buffs to bring her up to speed with the older champions.
Patch 11.16 has potential to shift the meta quite a bit with the Sona rework and other upcoming changes.
