5 Things We Want in League of Legends Patch 12.6
By Jenny Cho
We've put together a list of five things we want in League of Legends Patch 12.6.
The next patch update is scheduled to be launched on Wednesday, March 30. As usual, this will bring item and champion changes to balance the game. Additionally, players will witness the arrival of new champion skins for the highly anticipated Anima Squad.
With Patch 12.6, here are five things we want in the League of Legends update.
5 Things We Want in League of Legends Patch 12.6
1. Lifesteal Nerfs & Smooth Release of Treasure Hunter
Riot has attempted to try and fix systemic healing in League of Legends before. Even with items like Goredrinker getting nerfed and enchanter supports getting buffed, sustain has been a problem for a while. By targeting both items and runes to try to make sustain less prevalent, this nerf will be hitting almost every champion in the game and the current healing meta.
More specifically, the Ravenous Hunter rune will be completely removed from the game. In its place, the new Treasure Hunter rune will grant bonus gold for unique takedowns. The exact amount of gold received is not yet known so League fans are hoping that it won't be too overpowered upon its release.
2. Adjustments to Current Meta
Riot Games has been hard at work to provide patch updates in order to balance the game for their fans. Even with this, certain champions and items are way too powerful while others are rarely used. It'd be great to see some adjustments to the meta to change the game up.
3. Balanced Release of Reworked Rengar
Back in Season 11, Riot made promises of implementing only positive changes to Rengar. Finally, with the release of Patch 12.6, fans are expecting to see the long-awaited rework of Rengar added. With a current win rate of 46.6%, he was a champion that could not compete with the stronger and more favored champions in the game. Hopefully, Riot has changed Rengar's abilities for the better while keeping him balanced.
4. Lux Nerf
In Summoner's Rift, Lux has been an extremely popular champion for players looking to dominate in the mid or bot lane. It's no surprise to see her picked as she has decent range attacks that can damage opponents while bailing out their ally in the toughest situations. With her attacks that do way too much for how easy her skills are to land, frustrated players are hoping for a Lux nerf.
5. Blitzcrank Nerf
It appears that Riot has been struggling to balance support champions this past year. Blitzcrank is an example of a champion that's a bit too powerful. Blitzcrank's one well-timed hook can cost gamers their life and the laning phase. Many AD carry and Support players are struggling to fight against his abilities and are wanting a nerf in the near future.
