Although Fortnite's arsenal is big and diverse, there are some weapons that we would like to see return to the game in 2021. The battle royale boasts a variety of weapon types, such as assault rifles, shotguns, submachine guns, pistols, sniper rifles, explosive weapons, and melee weapons.

With Chapter 2 Season 5 coming to an end and Season 6 arriving on March 16, many players are curious to see what Epic Games has prepared for the upcoming season. Epic Games is set to introduce Fortnite's first-ever single-player narrative experience, Zero Crisis Finale, along with the launch of Season 6. Although Zero Crisis Finale will surely grab the attention of most players, Epic Games will also be updating the game's battle royale game mode. Among the changes introduced, we hope to see some vaulted weapons make a comeback. The following is a list of the five weapons we would like to see return to Fortnite in 2021 as long as they're nerfed.

5 Weapons We'd Like to See Return to Fortnite 2021

Brutus' Minigun

First featured in Chapter 2 Season 2, the mythic minigun was obtained by defeating Brutus at The Grotto. It was an exclusive weapon, as only one could be obtained per match. Brutus' Minigun was an improved version of the original minigun that featured a faster spin-up, greater accuracy, and bigger overheat capacity.

Drum Gun

The Drum Gun, an assault rifle that was better used like an SMG, was first introduced in Season 4. It was mainly found through floor loot and chests. The gun was fully automatic, with a rapid rate of fire and providing high damage output in close-quarters combat. It was inspired by the 'Tommy Gun', an American weapon from the mid-1900s.

Kit's Charge Shotgun

Kit's Charge Shotgun, a mythic version of the Charge Shotgun, was added in Chapter 2: Season 3. To obtain it, players had to defeat the Kit boss at Catty Corner, and like Brutus' Minigun, it was limited to one per match. The weapon was deadly in close-quarters combat, being able to take down enemies with only a few blasts.

Boom Bow

Epic Games introduced the Boom Bow during Season 8. The weapon was a mythic version of TNTina's Ka-Boom Bow. It was quite unique, since players had to charge it up in order to be able to fire it. The greater the charge, the greater the length the explosive traveled. Players could only obtain it through supply drops.

Infinity Blade

One of the most popular Fortnite weapons of all time, the Infinity Blade was a mythic melee weapon found at Polar Peak. To acquire the weapon, players had to pull the sword out of a stone, a process that took five consecutive seconds. It was known to be quite powerful, as it provided high damage output and passive healing effects, and was inspired by Infinity Blade, a game series developed by Epic Games.
