5 Worst Mid Laners in League of Legends Patch 9.23

The worst mid laners in League of Legends Patch 9.23 are important to keep in mind. What's more important than knowing what champions to play? Knowing which champions to avoid playing. This can save you precious time and effort if you're trying to relearn a role for the preseason. Here are the 5 worst mid laners in Patch 9.23.

5 Worst Mid Laners in League of Legends Patch 9.23

5. Sylas

Sylas has been hit with the nerf bat over and over again for a long time. He's been hit so hard, one might've forgotten that he's a champion until seeing him on this list. That being said, he isn't unplayable. He's just not as good as anything else. The ult stealing gimmick just isn't strong enough on it's own.

4. Ziggs

Ziggs doesn't do much. He's easy food for assassins, get out ranged by most control mages and is just unreliable. His abilities are so easy to dodge, it begs the question as to why you'd want one on your team.

3. Azir

Corki and Azir were the best two mid laners in the game not too long ago. However, after a few nerfs, Azir is back to seeing little play. He's still good at what he does, but you'd have to be good at him to make it work.

2. Zed

A lot of inexperienced players don't know how to handle most assassins, and Zed might be the most jarring to deal with if you're unsure of what his abilities do. However, once you figure out what he does, it's not the hardest champion do deal with. Armor, and playing around his mobility is simple and once that's figured out, Zed isn't so scary anymore.

1. Jayce

It is unclear why Jayce mid is a thing. Jayce is typically a top laner, a lane bully against tanks that zones short ranged targets away from CS with his range. Which is hard to do in mid lane since most champions are ranged and can out trade him. Even the melee champions in the mid lane can out trade Jayce if they've given the chance. And to make matters worse, angling shots in the mid lane is MUCH harder since the lane is straight and much shorter. All in all it just makes Jayce mid look questionable at best. Maybe into Cho'Gath mid, but even then it's a bit unreliable.
